Interested in serving at camp?

We have a variety of ways for people to serve at Eagle Lake Day Camp! Read below for more information!

Be a Host Family - want to serve our counselors? This is our biggest need!
  • Provide sleeping spaces in bedrooms or finished basements.
    • Note: counselors can share a room, but cannot share a bed.
  • You'd host two to three counselors (your choice) from Saturday, May 31st-Saturday, June 6th.
  • You'll receive information about your counselors before camp, but will officially meet them the evening of Saturday, May 31st (time tbd) and take them home with you.
  • Provide dinner on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. 
    • This does not have to be an extravagant meal, nor are you required to be present. The counselors will be tired by the time they get home for dinner. 
  • Provide breakfast daily before the staff arrive onsite at 7:30am.
    • This can be a grab and go breakfast or as simple as cereal. 
    • Your presence is not required.
  • Provide a packed lunch on Saturday, June 6th as the counselors depart KC.
  • We need 8-9 home homes and would love for you to consider this rewarding serve opportunity!

Check-in and Check-out Volunteers – want a short time commitment?
  • A small-time commitment with a huge impact – you will begin and end the camp experience for each child!
  • Check-in volunteers are needed Monday from 8:30-9:30am, Tuesday-Friday from 8:45-9:30am.
  • Check-out volunteers are needed Monday from 3:30-4:30pm, Tuesday-Thursday from 3:45-4:30pm.
  • Check-out volunteers are needed Friday from 3:00-4:15pm.
Medical Volunteers - want to serve the kids?
  • You'll apply band-aid's and chat with the kids as they cool off from the heat.
  • The medical station will be located in the air conditioned church lobby.
  • Medical volunteers do not administer medication.  
  • Needed shifts for the medical volunteer are the morning shift (8:30am-12:30pm) Monday-Friday (6/1-6/5).
Lunch Prep - want to serve during your lunch break?
  • Lunch is served at noon daily to our camp counselors and church staff. Help us prepare and serve the food!
  • Lunch prep is between 11am-1pm daily. 
  • Help for just one day or the whole week!
