June Mission Focus: Eagle Lake Day Camp
Eagle Lake is around the corner (July 21-25) so help us prepare for camp by donating food or volunteering!
- Sign up to donate food and drink items for our camp counselors and church staff!
- View our list of needed items by visiting our SignUp Genius and sign-up for the items you'd like to donate.
- NONperishables can be placed in the mission bin anytime in June and July (but by 7/20).
- Refrigerated items will only be accepted on Sunday, July 20th so they don't spoil before camp. Freezer items and other items that don't expire before 7/25 can be donated anytime before 7/20.
- All donations must be on the church campus by Sunday, July 20th.
*For questions, contact Nancy Reno.
Thank you for partnering with us!

- A small-time commitment with a huge impact – you will begin the camp experience for each child!
- Check-in volunteers are needed Monday from 8:30-9:30am, Tuesday-Friday from 8:45-9:30am.
- Check-out volunteers are needed Monday-Thursday from 3:45-4:30pm.
- Check-out volunteers are needed Friday from 3:00-4:30pm.
- This will be someone that can help apply band-aids and chat with kids as they cool off in the sun.
- Needed in part-time shifts (see sign-up link for positions available).
- Medical volunteers will not administer medications.
- Medical experience is preferred but not required for this role.
- Lunch is served at noon daily to our camp counselors and church staff.
- Time commitment can be any time between 11:00am-1:00pm.
- Help for just one day or the whole week!
- Provide sleeping spaces in bedrooms or finished basements (separate beds are necessary).
- Counselors can share a room, but they cannot share a bed.
- You will host two to three counselors (your choice) from Saturday, July 19th to Saturday, July 26th.
- You will meet your counselors on Saturday, July 19th (more details shared later) and will take them home with you.
- Provide dinner on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
- This does not have to be an extravagant meal, nor are you required to be present. The counselors will be tired by the time they get home for dinner.
- Provide breakfast daily before the staff arrives on site at 7:30am.
- This can be a grab and go breakfast or as simple as cereal.
- Your presence is not required.
- Provide a packed lunch on Saturday, July 26th as the counselors depart KC.
- We need 16-20 host homes and would love for you to participate in this extremely rewarding service opportunity!
