Date: October 11, 2026
Time: 9AM service: Arrive at 8:45AM and serve until approximately 10:20AM or until all children are picked up.
11AM service: Arrive at 10:45AM and serve until approximately 12:20AM, or until all children are picked up.
Responsibilities:

• Help nursery staff maintain a safe, caring environment for children under age 3
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including imaginative play, exploration, and reading

Location: Nursery (lower level)
Serving Commitment: Approximately 1½ hours
# Needed: Two for the 9:00 a.m. service and two for the 11:00 a.m. service.

Date: January-May 2027 (01/31, 02/28, 03/28, 04/25, 05/23)
Time: Monthly on the 4th Sunday of the month during the 9AM service
Responsibilities: 
Assist Preschool Lead with:

• Picking up children from the worship center
• Providing support for the children during the story-telling and activity
• Sharing Jesus' love and engaging with children during open play

Location: Preschool Room (lower level)
Serving Commitment: Approximately one hour per month, 8:55-10:15AM or until all the children have been picked up

Date: January–May 2027, as needed
Time: 9AM service: When called, arrive at 8:55 a.m. and serve until approximately 10:15 a.m., or until all children are picked up. On-call volunteers fill in when a scheduled Preschool Assistant is unavailable.
Responsibilities:

• Help the Preschool Lead bring children from the worship center to the preschool room.
• Encourage children to be attentive and help them engage in stories, activities, songs, and questions.
• Share Jesus’ love and engage with children during open play.

Location: Preschool Room (lower level)
Serving Commitment: Approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Time: Arrive at 10:40 a.m. and stay until 11:15 a.m.
Responsibilities:

• Greet parents and children in a friendly way at the Children’s Ministry Welcome Center downstairs
• Help parents check their children in using the I-pad where they will receive printed name tags with a unique security code to present at check-out
• Direct parents to the Nursery or Preschool rooms

Date: November & December 2026, January-May 2027
Time: During 9:00AM worship service. Arrive at 8:30AM and stay until approximately 10:15AM
Responsibilities: Come serve our Cornerstone Kids and be a witness to the blessing of them growing in their love of Jesus. You may grow too in your knowledge of the Bible (our volunteers have said so)! Responsibilities are simple. You don’t need to bring or prepare anything, just:
• have a heart for Jesus and love our kids
• assist the leader with the bible story and activity.
• engage our kids in a loving and faith-filled way
Location: K-6 Sunday School Room (lower level)
Serving Commitment: 8:30-10:15AM, four Sunday's/quarter, schedule is based on each team member’s availability & is produced every calendar quarter

Date: October – June
Time: Wednesday evenings  6:45-8:30 pm
Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe environment for middle and high schoolers (approximately 12-15 kids)
• Supervise indoor/outdoor activities, a simple dinner is also provided

Location: Youth Room (lower level)
Serving Commitment: approximately 1 ½ hours, could be weekly or once/twice a month (you choose based on your schedule)

Date: On-going during 9AM and 11AM worship services
Time: 8:30-10:15AM or 10:30AM-12:10PM
Responsibilities:
Screen & Lights Operator will click through slides during service, including: announcements, liturgy, sermon, song lyrics etc. The operator will also control the room and stage lighting during the service.
Sound Operator will turn on/off instruments and microphones and adjust volume up/down for speaking and singing during the service.
Location: Worship Center tech booth
Serving Commitment: approximately 1 ½ hour
# Needed: 2 for each service

Dates: Approximately once a month on Sundays in 2027
Responsibilities:

• Make sure front doors are open if weather permits
• When the choir is finished practicing, open the Worship Center doors
• Welcome those coming to service at Cornerstone with a smile
• Close Worship Center doors once service has started
• During the closing song, open the Worship Center doors
• When visitors come, direct them to the coffee, ask their names, and give them our Cornerstone welcome mug

Serving Commitment: Approximately once a month, 10:40-11:15AM

Dates: First Sunday of every month in 2027 (one service at 10AM), scheduling will be on a rotational basis
Responsibilities: 

• When Pastor Nathan calls servers to come, rise and go stand at one of the tables of elements
• Remove the cloth covering, fold it and place on the table
• Serve your section of the congregation bread and juice, say to each person “the body and blood of Christ given to you”
• Once you have served your section, look around and serve anyone needing assistance in their chair
• Servers will then serve each other. The person paired with Pastor Nathan will receive their communion from him, then serve him
• Place the bread plate on top of the juice tray and cover it with the cloth, then return to your seat

Location: Worship Center
Serving Commitment: Approximately 1-2 times per year
# Needed: 2 members that generally attend the 11AM worship service

Dates: Sundays, approximately once a month between worship services  
Responsibilities:

• After 9AM service, check the three coffee carafes to see which ones need to be re-filled
• Brew however many pots of coffee are needed to fill front carafes
• Refill cups, lids, teas, hot water and creamers as needed
• Restock any donuts or pastries for the 11AM worship service
• Wipe down any spills in the coffee area

Serving Commitment: Approximately once a month
# Needed: a team of two (or it can be one individual)

Dates: On-going as needed  
Responsibilities:

• Ensure kitchen items are place in the appropriate drawers/cabinets according to labels
• Delete/donate items that are no longer needed
• Ensure items used on a regular basis are re-stocked (ex. paper towels)

Location: Kitchen (main level near the lobby)
Serving Commitment: Approximately 1 hour a month

Dates: Ongoing over a one year period
Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Cornerstone's involvement in local and global missions
• Review requests from missionaries/organizations involved in U.S. and global missions, including monthly local mission recipients
• Recommend missions policy to Session
• Submit names and organizations to Session for Cornerstone support
• Maintain regular contact with supported missionaries.

Location: Mostly remote using Zoom with an occasional visit to local mission partners
Serving Commitment: approximately one hour/month, primarily online

Responsibilities:

• Coordinator will receive designated local mission initiatives, on a monthly basis, from the Missions Team headed by Ron Sterk
• Coordinator will contact the mission partner to identify donation needs
• A list of items needed/donation bags will be placed in the lobby for members
• Donation bins will be monitored on a regular basis so bins remain cleared
• At the end of the donations drive, items will be transported to the appropriate mission partner

Responsibilities: 

• The coordinators for the concert dinners need to arrive in the lobby by 5:15PM, greet volunteers at 5:30PM and accept their donations
• Crockpots of soup and other donated items are then transported downstairs to room B129 where food, plates, napkins and utensils can be set up on receiving tables
• After dinner is over around 6:50PM (or after the concert), volunteers can pack up what is left over and put these items in the kitchen

Responsibilities: 

• Make crockpot of soup/donate other needed items (e.g. appetizer/fruit/veggie/cheese & cracker trays, cookies, and various serving items like plates, bowls, napkins etc.) and bring it to the church lobby by 5:15-5:30PM
• Pick up crockpot after concert

• Pull weeds
• Make the garden beds look nice by spreading the mulch evenly

Responsibilities: 

• Clean windows and doors throughout the church, squeegee experience is helpful but not necessary
• No ladder work

Responsibilities: 

• Mow a specified area of the grounds using Cornerstone's mowing equipment (zero turn mower, garden tractor, push mower, trimmer, blower, etc.)

Location: Church grounds
Serving Commitment: Once a month, about 3-4 hours

Responsibilities:

• Identify a process for prayer requests coming in from members
• Develop an annual prayer calendar for worship
• Be available to pray individually with individuals when requested
• Develop and follow confidentiality practices
